Anyone seen Windows 7 eat icons from desktop? Not in recycle bin? Disappeared<\/p>\n
Icons don\u2019t show up in c:\\users\\User-Name\\desktop\\ folder either.<\/p>\n
I tried re-creating the C:\\Users\\User-Name\\AppData\\Local\\IconCache.db didn\u2019t help<\/p>\n

\nTo solve the hidden icon problem in Windows 7:
\n1.\tRight click on the desktop
\n2.\tSelect View, and ensure that Show desktop icons is ticked. If it is not, select it.<\/p>\n
Icons on Desktop Missing (somewhere off the screen)
\nYou can try getting around this one by:
\n1.\tRight click on the desktop
\n2.\tSelect View, and select Auto arrange icons<\/p>\n

I had this issue, ended up creating a folder on my desktop to include the shortcuts that kept being removed.
