Supposedly, there is a\n“ThinkVantage recovery utility”, which can be accessed either through\nWindows, or by pressing F11 during boot. Neither worked for me. \nAlso, the magic one-button you were looking for does not exist on Thinkpads,\nonly on Idea series – as far as I can tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, 3 easy steps then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1) https:\/\/pcsupport.lenovo.com\/us\/en\/lenovorecovery<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n \nEnter serial number, follow prompts to get recovery files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2) run USB recovery creator<\/p>\n\n\n\n https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/ddstools.gdi.lenovo\/win8\/USBRecoveryCreator.exe<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n point it to the files created in\nstep 1, create recovery usb<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3) Hit F12 while laptop booting\nto access boot menu. Boot from USB created in step 2. Follow\nprompts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4) Optional – Install Lenovo\nVantage, it will update all drivers.
